Should you join a writer's group?

When I mention that I write, I always get two questions: how do you get help, and how do you find the time? The answer to both is I belong to an excellent writer's group that has helped me organize my time and develop the craft. I attend the Port Moody Writers's group on a fairly regular basis.

It is not just a question of putting your ideas and thoughts on paper, it is also organization and time management forced upon you by the commitment of attendance and participation.
