My Bio
ABOUT ME
Andrew P. Blaber grew up in Northern Ontario and Quebec. During the day he would spent much of his time exploring the wilds, while in the evening his gaze would focus upwards at the wonders of the Northern Lights and the expanse of the Milky Way. As a child he would craft and act out stories of adventure and space travel.
Blaber holds degrees in Marine Biology (BSc), Biophysics (MSc), education (BEd), and Kinesiology (PhD). Following his PhD in 1994, he was privileged to be part of a Canadian research program studying the health of returning astronauts.
In 1997, Dr. Blaber established the Aerospace Physiology Laboratory at Simon Fraser University, where he continues to work with Canadian, European and American space agencies to provide solutions to the problems of human space travel. With over 70 published scientific papers, he has a wealth knowledge to provide edge and realism to his stories.
